Band Bio: Songwriter Amber Lee Baker created Amber Lee and the Anomalies to express her musical dreams and tell captivating stories. Her debut album includes many themes and folk traditions that are inspired by the accordion: whaler’s wives, rural cemeteries, glowing estuaries, bumps in the road, and rodeo clowns in roadside bars. With influences ranging between Old-Time music, Gypsy tunes, and Sea Songs her sound suggests distant, dream-like memories of crossing the ocean in a wooden ship by the light of an oil lamp.
She is currently performing as a solo act with her accordion, glockenspiel, percussion frog, and loop station - for an act that is rich with complexity and verging towards a full one-woman-band.
