Band Bio: Everest Mind is an ambitious project finding its roots all the way back to 1999 from mind and heart of Stefano Pastori (musician, writer and producer) and the invaluable co-operation of Maria Teresa Pastori (writer) and Giancarlo Morgante (musician and producer). The core of this project is captured within its own two words “Everest”, both the highest peak of the Earth and its closest point to the Universe, and “Mind”, which itself and alone encloses many different interpretations, a simplicity which is so unique of the English language: humanity and its neverending search of its true self. In the tracks here-in, with the sole exception of “Everest” (which is a true expression of the project), you’ll find a variety of different musical themes, or portraits if you prefer, all aiming to depict the many sides of mankind (the issues surrounding the Amazon forest, the fascinating misteries of the Egyptian civilization and the dramatic ending of the extraordinary Etrurian people), drifting from modern to ancient throughout different musical genres. Not satisfied of being restricted to any given genre, the authors willingly and purposefully explore different kinds of artistic ..visual, linguistic and musical alltogether) to reach the closest possible explanation of the many “faces” within the human soul. This project, which is the re-adaptation of a self produced CD distributed over the Internet in 1999, even though internationally acclaimed, enjoyed little success. Now, almost a decade later, and along with new technologies, artistic directions, and a new found creativity, Stefano Pastori, through this website, gives new life to this idea, hoping to give his audience little pleasures and to inspire them to wonder on the true human potential.
