Band Bio: Gabby Hayz is a four-piece band that comprises two professional firefighters from Opelousas, Larry Moreau (guitars) & Ken Morel(bass); an Opelousas high school teacher, Paul Mouton (drums); and, from Abbeville, Paul Piazza (vocals, harmonica). Starting as a regular jam session between friends many years back, Gabby Hayz finally evolved into a true band with a recording project in early 2005 when Moreau, Morel, and Mouton decided to try their hand at recording some of the song ideas they had been kicking around for years. After the recording sessions began, Piazza, whom the other members of Gabby Hayz met at an open jam @ 307 in Downtown Lafayette, La., rounded out the lineup by contributing soulful, powerful vocals and harmonica parts.   Read Less »
