Band Bio: The members of Gaia had all appeared with different bands on the live original circuit in the North of England for over ten years prior to the bands conception in 2002. After working on several projects, writing material, and realizing the chemistry was right, a natural energy and enthusiasm pushed the band to set about creating an album. ‘Soulwind' was written, recorded and produced by the band at The Hive studio in their home town of Barnsley. The album is a mix of mellow, folk-tinged acoustic based songs and hard edged, visceral anthems, the alchemy of many varying influences and the individuality of each band member. Gaia are at present working on a second studio album, ‘Sun into Gold', which is almost due for release. This new material sees an advancement and maturity of style. With the addition of Steve Gilberthorpe taking up the sticks after Booth's departure, the lads are looking forward to getting out on the road to promote the latest offering.
