Band Bio: Hillbilly Hellcats are a Rockabilly trio who have toured all the U.S. and 11 european countries. Chuck Hughes of Lafayette, Co. on guitar is joined by Lance Bakemeyer on bass and Tim Thies on Drums. The band's stylings are influenced by early rockabillies such as Gene Vincent and Johnny Burnette, as well as bands from the contemporary rockabilly/psychobilly movement, including Rev. Horton Heat and the Stray Cats. Recently the band’s songs were featured in the Hollywood horror movie Dead and Breakfast, and are regularly played on MTV, CMTV, HBO, Showtime, and numerous other networks. While retaining the spirit of rockabilly music, their songs include topics outside of the standard rockabilly themes. The band has 2 CDs.   Read Less »
