Band Bio: Hope Kills Fear was created for the purpose of using heartfelt, catchy songs to spread a message of hope, faith, strength and perseverance. The band consists of two former members of the critically acclaimed metal/rock/fusion band Candiria. Carley Coma (vocals) and Kenneth Schalk (drums) are joined by Julio Arias (guitars, vocals), Joe Fazio (bass) and Steve Richards (guitars, vocals) The band was formed in New York City, in September 2007. The members strongly identify themselves as Christians and are adamant about pursuing and promoting the band's career in a manner that would be consistent with their beliefs and desire for social change. As time goes on, the band hopes to get involved with missionary and charity work for the poor, the sick, the victims of natural disasters, the environment and American troops fighting abroad. The band has been known for spending long hours in the recording studio with producer Michael Barille, going over every aspect of a song until the message and the music become one in the same.
