Band Bio: After winning the Telluride Acoustic Blues Competition in 2001, Mason was hired back to teach slide guitar at the festival’s guitar camp where he came under the influence of contemporary luminaries Taj Mahal, John Cephas, Phil Wiggins, Alvin Youngblood Hart, and Richard Johnston. In 2004 he won the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival’s "Most Promising Emerging Artist." Mason has shared the stage with many Greats including BB King, James Cotton, John Mayall, Jimmie Vaughn, John Hammond, Robben Ford, Bob Margolin, and the man Mason calls "the King," Robert Belfour. Mason has recorded five full-length albums, the latest, Town and Country, released January 15, 2008.
