Band Bio: Folk-soul songstress Layah Jane has lured listeners at shows and festivals across North America including The Rochester Int. Jazz Fest, The Ottawa Folk Fest, New Music West, and NXNE. Winner of a CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award (2005), a Toronto Independent Music Award (Best Jazz, 2006), and two Ontario Independent Music Award (Best Folk, 2007, and Best Female Performer, 2008), Layah’s sound recalls Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Snow, Rickie Lee Jones, and Norah Jones, with a resonance all her own.
