Band Bio: Aysha Amani aka MC Amani was raised in Fremantle W.A. and has been a studio vocalist for 15 years. She originally started as a singer song writer and later progressed to play guitar, bass and drums in several bands. She has had the pleasure of working with many talented musicians, Dj and producers throughout her career to whom she attributes much of her skills to date.2004 saw Aysha Amani become MC AMANI and combined with Dj Missile they formed live ragga breaks act, SISTAMASSIVE. Taking this new direction Amani developed her own style of vocals over broken beat genres such as breaks and drum n bass. Using the vocal FX rack custom made for her during TOAST she has brought her own unique sound to her live performances. Delving deeper into the DJ culture AMANI added rhymes to her arsenal of vocal techniques and now lays vocals over reggae, dub step, dnb and breaks as well as many other styles of electronic music.MC AMANI has held residencies at several club and pub nights. During This time she has performed with many of Perth’s top dnb, reggae and breaks Djs, this has led to AMANI performing at festivals such as HYPER WINTERFEST and SOUTHBOUND 2010. AMANI has also been a promoter for several local nights and has played live with national and international acts including: Artificial Intelligence (uk), mindscape (hung), Big Bud (uk), Dubwise (nz), Warrior Queen (uk), Patiffe (brazil) Aysha has also collaborated local and international producers including Micky Dubwise (uk), Blastique (kl) JR Booker (uk). After finishing a cert iv in technical music production, AMANI is now producing her own tracks for release. Currently she is working with reggae sound system SENI SOUND and SISTAMASSIVE playing shows across Australia and is due to release her new debut solo album late 2010.
