Band Bio: Born of a long line of accomplished troubadours, jazz bands, and players, Megan McCormick’s past delivers her from the most remote reaches of Alaska to Music City, USA. As a recipient of East Tennessee State’s Public Performance scholarship Megan echoed the heartache of Appalachian ballads at the historic Carter Fold as a member of ETSU’s Senior Ensemble. In 2006 McCormick was introduced on the Americana/Folk Rock scene as a member of the Everybodyfield’s touring the country and releasing the band’s third record “Nothing is Okay.” When Megan McCormick breathes and strums, you can feel the wealth of the warm history that delivers her artistry. In 2007, drawn by countless musicians and opportunities within the industry, Megan made the move to Nashville, Tennessee to embark on her solo career. In a town where one needs but a few songs and a starry-eyed dream to call themselves an “artist,” McCormick’s music is a unique and fulfilling example of what being an artist should be about… Music City is more vital with her in it.
