Band Bio: With raw, emotional energy, the Folk-rock/Brit-pop-infused sextet, Modern Subject, brings a level of poetry and emotion that hasn’t been seen on the stage in a very long time. Stewart’s voice, reminiscent of Jeff Buckley and Freddie Mercury, soars well over melodic yet raw guitars and haunting piano. This music is uncommonly deep and poetic. Having shared the stage with such acts as Eve 6, Louis XIV, and Five for Fighting, the group has had more than a taste of the West Coast music industry.
