Band Bio: Formed mid 2008 Morpheus Rising are a 5 piece rock band with a distinct twin guitar sound reminiscent of the heady days of NWoBHM. The combination of that guitar sound, the driving rhythms and the powerful lyrics set them apart from other bands who play twin guitar rock. Adding elements of the darker side of rock including Goth, Thrash and Alternative rock acts like Metallica, The Mission and Alter Bridge means that the sound is contemporary while staying true to the influences of the likes of Iron Maiden and Thin Lizzy. Having released a charity single late in 2008 on aid of HELP for HEROES the band finshed the year with their initial commercial release of The Original Demos 2008 at download sites such as iTunes, Rhapsody and Napster. With gigs planned for the first half of 2009, the band are preparing themselves for a possible appearance at an event at Wembley Arena later in the year.   Read Less »
