Band Bio: Born in a musical household in Long Island, Sheri grew up listening to her mother, an opera singer, belt out arias in the night. After singing in a blues band while at UPenn, studying poetry, and secretly writing songs in her bedroom, Sheri moved back to NYC. Brimming with inspiration, she developed her own “sensual bluesy American soul meets classic British melodic-pop", performing at The Bowery Ballroom, Joe's Pub, Hotel Cafe, and Canal Room. Sheri briefly sang in a 4-part harmony group in Nashville signed to Sony, while co-writing songs with Grammy-Award winning songwriters in NY, LA and Nashville. Sheri released her critically-acclaimed debut EP, "Mantra" in 2008 and is now busy passionately writing songs for her upcoming 2nd record.
