Band Bio: Smooth Money Gesture is the culmination of over four years of musical experimentation, travel and friendship. Since originally forming in the spring of 2005 the band has seen many changes in talent before finally landing in the current configuration over the winter of 2009, which is by far the most solid with Doug Diminico playing guitar and singing alongside his brother Dan Diminico on bass guitar and vocals. Josh Gitlin-Rich, who has been playing with the Diminico brothers since their childhood back in Boston, MA, adds his own brand of guitar and synth sounds to compliment Pete Goldberg, formerly of Gold Hill, on the keys.
