Band Bio: The guys were in Bombay going through their mundane jobs. Something hit all of them and they decide to go to Goa to record a demo album. Actually, Pradeep was reading a biography of The Beatles and by the end of it he decided, “If the Beatles can have their Hamburg, I damn well can have my Goa.”
They had no bassist, but a friend in Goa agreed to take on the duties. They bought an Analog Mixer from Lamington road and a bunch of Ahuja microphones and were off.
The Mavyns set up shop at the Kris’ place, this beautiful 100-year-old Portuguese bungalow with bamboos replacing mic stands.
They recorded 12 demos, all original music. All songs were recorded live, no mastering of any kind.
The demo album’s name is Socegado Sessions.
