The "pure" definition of a cult is that it's just a group of people that believe the same thing. Anything could lead to a cult ... the trouble comes when extreme stances come into play and isolate people from ____. That blank is what keeps us from love & understanding.

Fundamentalism

Fundamentalism occurs in many religions, including Christianity, Judaism, Mormonism, and Islam. Most of the spotlight is currently put on Islamic fundamentalists, because of their links to terrorism. However, fundamentalists from all types of religions cause discord within their religions because of their beliefs in a literal interpretation of sacred texts or outdated traditional practices. For example, the Fundamentalist Mormon church's adherence to polygamy led to their separation from the actualy Mormon church, which had ended their practice of polygamy. Fundamentalists are usually extremists who try to enforce their religion strictly on traditional practices which most followers have abandoned, sometimes advocating violence to implement their cause. Fundamentalists are also usually intolerant of others' beliefs, causing beliefs in their superiority over others.

God and religion

It is important to know that there is something bigger out there - God. He is the one and only one who put us here and gave us everything we need. He is a loving but just God. He cares for his people but also punishes those who he feels need to be brought to faith. Each person has their belief and this is mine.

Morality

As a nation, are morals and ethics have declined. Just listen to the music that we have out now. The words that are allowed to be used on television that weren't before. What are we going to do without good morals? How will we be a successful nation, or a successful world? We need to stop compromising our morals for things that we want to do. I know,it annoys you when your parents tell you to "always do what's right". Do you?

Prayer in schools

this cause matters because it would help christian believes actually pray in school. they pray at home but at school is a different matter.they are afraid of what there friends would think. maybe other people would stare or call them names but who cares. they should do it any way .!!!

Worship

Worship. It is a major part of being a Christian. God didn't put us on this earth just for us to do what we want. Why do you think He went through all the heartbreak just to send His only son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for all of our sins? We are in this place, this world full of temptations, so that we may overcome them, and give all the glory to God for everything He has done for us! We should praise Him alone for giving us the opportunity to be with Him. But He also gives us endless blessings that we are unworthy of. We couldn't possibly have a stable relationship with our Lord without one. That's why it is so important. Worship.
